The Devil comes to my house,
Almost every single day.
Although he's not invited,
He tries his best to stay.
He brings his best  allurements,
Trying to win my soul.
If I let my guard down,
He'll surely attain his goal.
He's the master of deceit,
And very, very sly.
He'll try to mislead me,
Even if he has to lie.
His tricks are so subtle,
Their faults are hard to find.
Sometimes they're not obvious,
Because he plants them in my mind.
The Lord has given me defenses,
And stands close by my side.
His Word is my sword and shield.
In it I most abide.
I must study it daily,
and carry it within my heart.
If I learn to use it well,
The Devil will depart.
