Greater Knowledge

At times we soared like eagles
to heights, before unknown,
and saw the mighty wonders,
known to our God alone.
We walked among the stars,
and on the Moon, did stand.
We gathered bits of planets,
and held them in our hands.
We viewed the distant planets,
as far as we can see.
We've watched to tiny microbes.
How small can the smallest be?
We are ever seeking,
no matter how large or small,
the mysterys of our World.
We strive to learn them all.
Onward, ever pressing.
No matter what the cost.
Many fortunes have been spent.
Many lives have been lost.
Knowledge is our passion.
Always chasing something new.
Following newer pathes,
Neglecting the tried and true.
Our search for greater knowledge,
leaves much to be desired.
The findings all are nothing,
if one thing's not acquired.
We understand all Nature,
but, there's something greater.
It is better to seek and find,
the knowledge of our Creator.
