Misspent Love

Alas. I have a mystery that continually baffles me.
The actions of some people, whose motives are hard to see.
Fifty dollars for a Pizza Party,  to show a father's love.
A dollar in the collection plate,  shows his love for God above.
A brand new pretty dress for the High School dance,
but for Church on Sunday, they wear their blue jean pants.
Mom and Dad make sacrifices, to sent a child to college,
ignoring totally, the need for a good Bible knowledge.
They work hard for years, earning money to save,
leaving it all to others, when they go to the grave.
There's no money to spend, in Heaven, nor in Hell.
It's no longer needed.  There's nothing there for sale.
The only thing that will last, beyond that cold grave,
is the soul of their child, that they could have saved.
All of the graces of God, and his goodness unlearned,
their child's unsaved soul, will eternally burn.
Reassess all of your values. Get your priorities straight.
Time is passing quickly. You can't afford to wait
Now, close your checkbook, and open up your Bible.
Your children need Jesus.  He can assure their survival.
