I've sailed the stormy seas,
and crossed the deserts, dry.
I've climbed the mountain peaks,
and soared across the sky.
I've viewed earth's grandest caves,
and her canyons with walls so steep.
I've traced the rivers' paths,
and searched the oceans deep.
I haven't seen it all,
'cus I haven't been everywhere,
but everywhere I've been,
God was already there.
Every blade of grass,
or the leaves in every tree,
or every blooming flower,
or every busy honey bee;
The nesting mother bird,
singing high in the tree;
the stars and moon above,
shining down on you and me.
all declare "He is real!",
for all do understand,
except for one doubting creature,
His favorite, lowly Man.
That intelligent Being;
the one that's so smart;
that doesn't know where he came from,
nor to where he will depart.
Though the secret of his being,
is told to God's perfection,
but he won't admit he's lost,
and stop to ask directions.
