Yes I'm Get'n Old!

It's not very funny
But it's plain for me to see.
The longer that I stay here..
The older I will be!

I'm not ready to depart
and leave it all behind.
But, sometime in the future
Eternal rest I'll find!

The past has been fulfilling
With the bitter and the sweet.
Sometimes with successes,
And sometimes with defeat!

There were things that caused me worry
And some that brought distress!
Some that took all my strength
And some that gave me rest!

As I look toward the future
There's not much to see
A few more years, I pray
Before you bury me!

I've worked hard all my life
No slacker have I been,
But now that I'm get'n older
On others I must depend!

I get tired so easy
Can't lift a heavy load
Driving's still a pleasure
When I can see the road!

As I look back upon my lenghtly past
I think of things I've done
I can't help but say
Hasn't it been fun!
